Jean de la Mare (1st
generation)
The noble Jean was born in Normandy, France around 1575. He was an officer
in the French Army under Henry IV. He married Louise de Troismonts, also born in
Normandy, France, and their son was named Emanuel.
Emanuel de la Mare (2nd
generation)
The noble Emanuel was born in Normandy, France around 1605, moved to Koselau,
Schleswig-Holstein, Denmark and spoused Marie Elisabeth von Halle about 1628 in
Denmark. They had a son: Kaj de la Mare.
Kaj de la Mare (3rd
generation)
The noble Kaj was born on 15th March 1630 in Koselau, Schleswig-Holstein,
Denmark, died on 28th July 1713 and was buried in St. Nikolaj Church (Kirke),
Vejle, Denmark. He was an officer in Danish Army, under Frederik III, commanded
the Royal Danish Guard and was close to the King. When he retired, in the rank
of Colonel, in 1678, he purchased the great farm of Aggersbol, northwards from
Vejle. He married Catherine Elisabeth von Sehestedt, daughter of Colonel
Hieronymus von Sehestedt, and they had a son named Hieronymus.
Hieronymus de la Mare (4th
generation)
Hieronymus de la Mare, who was an officer in the Danish Army, was born in 1665
and died on 27th April 1727 in Sct. Nikolaj, Vejle, Denmark. He married Lucie
Emerentia von Brockdorff and they had the following children: Catherine
Elisabeth, Ditlev, Sophie Dorothea, Hieronymine Henriette and Jeannette
Antoinette de la Mare.
Ditlev de la Mare (5th
generation)
Ditlev was born around 1712 in Vejle, Denmark and died around 1780 in Lisbon,
Portugal. He was also an officer in the Danish Army . He spoused Lucie Brügg
and their son was named Joseph de la Mare.
Joseph de la Mare (6th
generation)
Joseph was born in 1731 in Wedel, Schleswig-Holstein, Denmark. He served as
captain of chivalry in the Mecklenburg Regiment. When he retired he moved to
Portugal and married Rosa Lúcia de Moraes e Meneses, descendant of the Royal
House of Avis. They had eight children: Francisco, Rodrigo Antonio, Joaquim
Raymundo and Antônio Cândido de Lamare, amongst the eight.
Francisco de la Mare (7th
generation)
Francisco de la Mare was born around 1770 in Lisbon, Portugal. He enlisted the
very same regiment his father, Joseph, served as captain.
Rodrigo Antonio de Lamare (7th
generation)
Rodrigo was born in 1771 in Lisbon, Portugal. He enlisted the Portuguese Royal
Navy in 1786. In 1808, when the Royal family fled from the french invasion
forces to the collonial wonders of Brazil, Rodrigo was Captain of the ship
" Principe Real", which took the future Emperor Pedro I to Rio de
Janeiro. In Brazil, Rodrigo reached the rank of Admiral and died in May, 1837.
Joaquim Raymundo de Lamare (7th
generation)
Joaquim was born in 1777 in Lisbon, Portugal. He was a navy officer and arrived
in Rio de Janeiro, coming from the ship called "D. Maria I" in 1808.
He reached the rank of Admiral and died in August 1835. Amongst his descendants:
Rodrigo Antonio and Joaquim Raymundo de Lamare.
Joaquim Raymundo de Lamare, Viscount
de Lamare (8th
generation)
Joaquim was born in 1811 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was a navy officer,
reached the rank of Admiral and has been twice minister of the Navy. He
commanded the river Plate division, the Marine’s Corp, presided the state of
Mato Grosso. He has been chief of the fleet, commanded the forces of the state
of Amazonas, governed the state of Pará, has served as commander in chief of
the fleet and was elected senator of the state of Mato Grosso. He also received
many honorific titles in the Imperial House and was granted the title of
Viscount with honours. He died in 1889.
Rodrigo Antonio de Lamare (8th
generation)
Rodrigo was born in 1812 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was a navy officer and
reached the rank of Admiral. His descendants: Joaquim Raymundo, José Victor,
Rodrigo Antônio Cândido, Lucília, Prisciliana, Julieta and Honorina de Lamare.
He died in 1889.
Joaquim Raymundo de Lamare, 2th
Viscount de Lamare(9th
generation)
Joaquim was born in 1844, Rio Grande, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. He was a navy
officer, reached the rank of Admiral and died in 1935. His children: Armando,
Joaquim, Manfredo and Osvaldo - engineers, Rolando and Ademaro – medical
doctors, Abelardo – lawyer and banker, Edgar and the daughters Maria Luiza and
Isilda.
Rolando de Lamare (10th
generation)
Rolando was born on 10th november 1888, in Belém, Pará. He was one of the
founders of Botafogo Football Club and took part in the first brazilian football
team. He graduated in medicine in 1912 from the Federal University of Rio de
Janeiro. He became a university teacher in the area of urology and worked as a
doctor for 51 years until his death on 20th July 1963. His descendants: Leo,
Luiz, Lea, Lais and Loris.
Luiz de Lamare (11th
generation)
Luiz was born on 20th March 1920 in Rio de Janeiro. He spoused Maria Olivia Dale
in 1942, while he was studying law. He graduated in 1945 from the Federal
University of Rio de Janeiro, became a university teacher and worked as a lawyer
for 45 years until his death on 9th February in 1991. His only heir: Leo Dale de
Lamare.
Leo Dale de Lamare (12th
generation)
Leo was born on 7th October 1943 in Rio de Janeiro. He graduated in civil
engineering from the State University of Rio de Janeiro in 1968. He married
Telma Caiado in 1973 and their son was named Rodrigo de Lamare.
Rodrigo de Lamare (13th
generation)
Rodrigo was born on 26th April 1975 in Rio de Janeiro. He graduated in
electrical engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 1998.
